Green Street Commons

In response to its growing waiting list, Visions began exploring the potential to develop an additional site in 2017, gathering community input on the need and support for that process. As a result, the Visions 2020 Green Street Capital Campaign was launched, and in the summer of 2021 Green Street Commons in Lebanon, New Hampshire, opened!

“We had been to every other housing option out there.  Bigger sites were institutional and antiseptic.  Small home-placement sites didn’t offer enough oversight.  Visions is the Goldilocks model for us, just right in every way.” - Parent Visitor

Centrally located just a block and a half from Colburn Park and a short walk to downtown Lebanon restaurants and shopping, Green Street Commons is in an ideal location for residents to access public transportation and all of the wonderful amenities the City of Lebanon has to offer.

Generous support from close to 200 individual donors helped us to raise the support necessary to fully renovate the two apartment buildings now known as Green Street Commons. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, Mascoma Bank, and the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority (NHHFA) funded purchase of the property, significant aspects of the renovations, and enhanced energy efficiencies. We are tremendously and continuously grateful!

Visions Green Street Commons is an energy efficient property, powered by renewable energy and home to eleven adults with developmental or similar disabilities. (Learn more about the site’s energy efficiency features in this article from the Green Energy Times)
