Over the past five years, her contributions have been transformative: forming a specialized information security team, enhancing IT audit efficiency, launching an IT security awareness program, and implementing a robust IT GRC framework. She is an advocate for diversity in technology, serving on the Hartford Area Career Technology Center’s Advisory Board. After receiving his medical training at the Virginia Medical College and the University of Virginia, he joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he worked for 3 years. In 1991, DMHC recruited Bill to serve as a bridge between outcomes research and clinical practice at the institution. He served on the Executive Committee of an NIH funded National Lung Cancer Screen Trial and Principal Investigator for a substudy that evaluated the effectiveness of lung cancer screening. Later renamed to Fluent, it became the world leader in computational fluid dynamics simulation software. Fluent was acquired by Ansys in 2006, and Ansys was acquired by Synopsys in 2025. Scott has served in a variety of roles including software development, product management, business development, and product strategy. As a member of the Product Management leadership team at Synopsys, Scott works with customers, business leaders, sales teams, technical experts, and software development teams across the globe. Scott holds BS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He lives in Enfield, NH. Scott has served on the Visions Board since 2015. In her current role, Susan manages a staff of six and a comprehensive gift planning development program which includes bequests, trusts, annuities, donor advised funds, and gifts of complex assets. She works closely with Leadership Giving and Principal Gifts Officers to maximize donors’ philanthropy to Dartmouth. Susan and her colleagues also manage a group of 50 volunteers who promote gift planning within their classes. She holds a BA from Hamilton College and her JD from SUNY Buffalo Law School. Susan is admitted to the New York State Bar. During his tenure, Carl built a robust program, which included the creation of the Office of Disability Services. Prior to joining Visions’ Board in 2017, Carl served for 3 years on the board of a small nonprofit that provided services to the Vermont IDD community. Through his daughter with special needs, Carl has developed a strong connection to the disability services community of the Upper Valley. Thus, she bore witness to the parent-driven deinstitutionalization and emphasis on group homes within communities. When Vermont began funding SLPs working in the public schools, Klaran relocated to the Upper Valley, attracted to that program. For the next four decades she provided services to individuals of all ages across VT and NH. From 2004 to 2018 Klaran worked in the Hanover and Lebanon public school systems, where she knew many individuals who have become residents of Visions. Her talent for collaboration, inclusion, diagnostic acumen and insight, and clear communication have made her a valuable member of any team. Today, the firm is one of the most highly regarded construction companies in the Upper Valley. In addition to their residential and commercial work, Nick has overseen several low-income housing projects, including Green Street Commons and Spruce House for Visions and Tracy Street for Twin Pines Housing. Nick’s connections to the community run deep, serving on Vital Communities Corporate Council and as board member of the Hanover Improvement Society. Over the past five years, her contributions have been transformative: forming a specialized information security team, enhancing IT audit efficiency, launching an IT security awareness program, and implementing a robust IT GRC framework. She is an advocate for diversity in technology, serving on the Hartford Area Career Technology Center’s Advisory Board. Hypertherm provides paid time off for its employees to volunteer at Visions and dozens of other local non-profits and is proud to have a Visions resident working on its manufacturing team. Reese has been a volunteer program administrator for Ford Sayre Ski Club and served on the boards of Twin Pines Housing Trust and the Friends of the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD). He is a graduate of Bates College and earned his MBA at the Tuck School at Dartmouth. After receiving her doctorate, she served as an Assistant Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine (Dartmouth College), for 15 years, where she was a leading advocate of family-centered, developmentally-supportive care and infant-toddler development. She has served 10 years on her church council. Carol is guardian to an elderly cousin with a developmental disability, which gives her valuable insight into the needs of the intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) population as they age. After receiving his medical training at the Virginia Medical College and the University of Virginia, he joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he worked for 3 years. In 1991, DMHC recruited Bill to serve as a bridge between outcomes research and clinical practice at the institution. He served on the Executive Committee of an NIH funded National Lung Cancer Screen Trial and Principal Investigator for a substudy that evaluated the effectiveness of lung cancer screening. Later renamed to Fluent, it became the world leader in computational fluid dynamics simulation software. Fluent was acquired by Ansys in 2006, and Ansys was acquired by Synopsys in 2025. Scott has served in a variety of roles including software development, product management, business development, and product strategy. As a member of the Product Management leadership team at Synopsys, Scott works with customers, business leaders, sales teams, technical experts, and software development teams across the globe. Scott holds BS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He lives in Enfield, NH. Scott has served on the Visions Board since 2015. In her current role, Susan manages a staff of six and a comprehensive gift planning development program which includes bequests, trusts, annuities, donor advised funds, and gifts of complex assets. She works closely with Leadership Giving and Principal Gifts Officers to maximize donors’ philanthropy to Dartmouth. Susan and her colleagues also manage a group of 50 volunteers who promote gift planning within their classes. She holds a BA from Hamilton College and her JD from SUNY Buffalo Law School. Susan is admitted to the New York State Bar. Through his daughter with special needs, Carl has developed a strong connection to the disability services community of the Upper Valley. Thus, she bore witness to the parent-driven deinstitutionalization and emphasis on group homes within communities. When Vermont began funding SLPs working in the public schools, Klaran relocated to the Upper Valley, attracted to that program. For the next four decades she provided services to individuals of all ages across VT and NH. From 2004 to 2018 Klaran worked in the Hanover and Lebanon public school systems, where she knew many individuals who have become residents of Visions. Her talent for collaboration, inclusion, diagnostic acumen and insight, and clear communication have made her a valuable member of any team.
